Fajitas, Margaritas, and Meteors; Oh, My!

Full disclosure, I wasn’t feeling super great today so opted to hang back at the RV. Greg, Ryan and Audrey went off on the day’s adventures. First, to Flagstaff, where apparently they found the ACTUAL world’s best fajitas and top shelf margaritas. Don’t get too used to them, boys. They aren’t conveniently located to TN.

Next, I had been researching ghost towns in Arizona (because, hey, the wild west, right?). The internet gave me a list of the top 5 ghost towns, one of which was Two Guns. Our sightseers did find Two Guns. It is abandoned. It was creepy. It was not your typical ghost town, per say. More a few ruined buildings with graffiti. Some wire fencing.

More interesting was the Meteor Crash site a little further on. Everyone agreed that this was a spot worth visiting. The crash site itself is quite large. They have pieces of the meteorite that you can view and touch. And, there is an interesting conservation project going on where they are catching all the King snakes in the vicinity in order to try and save the Navajo Rattlesnake. This species has only 4 left known to be in the wild. Apparently, they are a bright red snake. No, they didn’t see any.
