Bridges, we don't need no stinking bridges!

Since we only have 10 days to see 5 states, and we broke up the initial drive to the mid Atlantic into 2 parts, that meant we needed to move again today. One state only gets one night, and Delaware is the smallest…

Distance wise, this was our shortest travel day. We had a leisurely morning in Delaware packing up and we had a leisurely drive into Maryland. The landscape between the two states was very similar, and we had a safe and uneventful trip to our stopping point in Callaway, MD, Friday afternoon.

There was one point of interest that I found particularly interesting, the Chesapeake Bay. I really like looking at bodies of water. I also think it’s kind of cool to look straight down at them. From tall bridges. Greg, on the opposite end of the spectrum, does not like to look at them from bridges. He does not particularly like bridges at all. And apparently, crossing very tall bridges that allow for full sized ships to pass unobstructed underneath, with notices of substantial “wind gusts” possible on bridge, can be somewhat stressful. I don’t know; I thought it was cool. Wouldn’t it be great if they had pull off lookout areas in the middle?! (Don’t tell Greg, but our route has us crossing several more bridges over the next couple of days!)

Like I mentioned, a safe and leisurely journey to our Callaway, MD RV camp. Since the goal of the trip is to see neat, new stuff, but not wear ourselves out, we opted for dinner at the RV. Greg grilled chicken and we had delicious chicken fajitas.

Tomorrow, we will see what we see in Maryland!
